On September 16-20, American University Library is hosting Absentee Ballot Days. There will be volunteers at the main campus library assisting in the requesting and mailing of absentee ballots. Pence Law Library resources, including scanners and printers, will be available for absentee voters. Make sure you are registered to vote and decide now if you want to vote in person or by absentee ballot. Pence Law Library is committed to supporting and empowering our students in exercising their right to vote in the upcoming election on November 5, 2024.

This is why absentee voting is so important! You don't need to re-register to vote every time you move, especially if it's a temporary move for school. If you are in another state or another country, you can still cast your vote by absentee ballot. Absentee voting allows your voice to be heard even when you are away from home and your choices will still count towards your home state's final tally. If you're voting by absentee ballot and your state requires your ID to vote, make sure to send a copy with your printed absentee ballot! There are scanners available at Pence Law Library.
