Casebook Supplements

Case Brief Supplements are available from the Wolters Kluwer Study Aids Library and the West Academic Subscription

Casenotes [Wolters Kluwer]:

The brief for each case saves you time and helps you retain important issues. Each brief has a succinct statement of the rule of law/black letter law, description of the facts, and important points of the holding and decision. Quicknotes are short definitions of the legal terms used at the end of each brief. Use the Glossary in the end of your text to define common Latin legal terms. Such an overview, combined with case analysis, helps broaden your understanding and supports you in classroom discussion. Each brief has a succinct statement of the rule of law/black letter law, description of the facts, important points of the holding and decision, and concurrences and dissents included in the casebook excerpt. Quicknotes at end of each brief give you short definitions of the legal terms used. A handy Glossary of common Latin words and phrases is included in every Casenote.

High Court Case Summaries [West Academic]:

The briefs will help readers identify, understand, and absorb the core knowledge points from each case. They are followed by legal analysis, providing contextual background about each case, and connecting the case to the broader concepts developed throughout the book. This title also supplies case vocabulary, with definitions of new or unusual legal words found throughout the cases. Finally, to enhance the reader's recall, there is a corresponding memory graphic for each brief that portrays a visual representation of the relevant facts or law of the case.

Questions and Exam Prep

WCL Past Exams

The WCL Exam Database can be accessed from the Library Services page of the Pence Law Library website.

The exams database contains all of the examinations placed on reserve with the Pence Law Library by professors since 1990. If there are sample answers on reserve, these answers will be linked to the appropriate examination. A few exams will require a password for access; most will not.

NOTE: Professors are not required to put their exams into the database. There may or may not be an old exam for your professor. You can ask your professor to request to add their exam to the database.
