Study Rooms

There are 24 group study rooms located on the 2nd & 3rd floors of the library and on the Terrace level in the commons for use by WCL students.  The following policies apply:

  • Group study rooms must be signed out at

  • Use of group study rooms is limited to groups of WCL students. A group is defined as two or more students using the room concurrently.

  • Individual students may use empty rooms, but may not reserve rooms.

  • Students using a room without a reservation may be asked to leave the room by the group with a reservation.

  • Group study room use is limited to 2 hours per user per day to ensure availability for all users.

  • Reservations must be booked in contiguous time blocks up to 2 hours per day.

  • Furnishings from other parts of the Library may not be brought into group study rooms without library authorization.

  • All library and Washington College of Law policies apply to students using group study rooms.

  • Group study rooms are subject to availability and reservations may be modified at any time by Library staff.

  • These policies are subject to change.

Reserving a Room

Study rooms are reserved through MyWCL.

Available rooms and times are denoted by (Reserve). Select your preferred room and time slot and click (Reserve).

After selecting a room and time slot, you will be prompted to complete your reservation.

Instructions for using the my.WCL Online Room Reservation System

  1. Go to
  2. Sign on with your network username and password
  3. From the Quicklinks tool bar on the left, under the Pence Law Library, select the link to Study Room Reservation System
  4. Select the room number, the day (the current day is expanded – scroll down to view other options for the current week), and the time you want to reserve by clicking on any time slot that says reserve.
  5. A separate window will open with information about the room – select your time window using the drop down boxes and click save.
  6. You can book up to 2 hours per day in 15 minute increments for the current week. You can split up the two hours in any way that fits your schedule.
  7. You will receive an email confirmation indicating the room and time of your reservation.
  8. Reservations you make will appear in blue, and you can log in and edit the reservation if your plans change.
